Debra L. Hoffarth

Debra L. Hoffarth was raised on a family farm near Petersburg, North Dakota. Debra received her B.A. in Business Management, cum laude, and her law degree, with distinction, from the University of North Dakota. She joined Pringle & Herigstad in 2000 and is a partner in the firm where she focuses on cooperative law, personal injury, general litigation, and adoptions.

Deb works to provide justice to her clients in the legal system and her priority is to understand the unique needs of each client to work with them to reach a just result. Deb has handled cases involving car accidents, farm accidents, slip and falls, and property rights disputes. In her over twenty years of litigating cases, Deb has taken on big companies such Chrysler, Tesoro, Exxon, Whiting, and Walmart. Deb is also proud to work with rural electric and telephone cooperatives as they provide services to rural North Dakota. Deb’s work in adoptions brings families together.

Deb is committed to volunteering in her community. She is a member of the Ward County Bar Association. Deb is a Governor of the State Bar Association of North Dakota and serves on the CLE Commission. She has volunteered with John Larson Post No. 247 of the American Legion in Petersburg, ND as a taps player with the Honor Guard since 1988, and Junior Achievement since 2001. She has served on the boards of Metigoshe Ministries, Lutheran Campus Ministry at Minot State University, and Children’s Museum of Minot, Inc. She also works to encourage the next generation of lawyers by volunteering to job shadow high school students, as well as participating in career events at local schools.

Deb was admitted to practice in North Dakota in 2000. She is also admitted to practice in U.S. District Court, District of North Dakota, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eight Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.

Deb and her husband Brad have three children.
